About Our Team

The SMMHS Swim and Dive Club is the swim and dive team for students of Signal Mountain Middle High School and 6th – 12th grade students that are homeschooled and live within the SMMHS school district.

All interested 6th – 12th graders are encouraged to join Signal Mountain Swim and Dive; all skill levels are welcome.

 

We are governed by the Tennessee Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association: www.tisca.net.

Throughout the season, we will hold fundraisers including Game Cleanup after SMMHS Football games (dates TBA) and a Pig Roast at Moe’s BBQ.

We will start the season with a Kick-Off Party, participate in the Homecoming Parade and hold an Awards Banquet at the end of the season.

Kasha Jones Griffith grew up in Chattanooga and graduated from Baylor School. During high school she was Tennessee State Diving Champion and All American, each for three years.  Also, during that time she competed in USA Diving where she was in Jr Nationals multiple times on the 1 meter, 3 meter and platform.  Kasha still holds the Baylor School Varsity diving record.  Kasha went on to attend the University of South Carolina as a member of their diving team and was an SEC finalist.  Following injury, she returned home to Chattanooga.  Kasha is married to Travis Griffith and they have one daughter, Sarah.  She started coaching the SMMHS dive team in 2017 as well as the Green Giants summer league dive team and is also an assistant coach for the Baylor Dive Team.
